About UACES Student Forum
This is the website of the UACES Student Forum, the student branch of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES), aiming to provide students with useful resources and networks for their research.
The Student Forum was created in 1999 to provide UACES with a specialist body for its many members still in full-time education.
The aim of the Student Forum is to provide a voice for graduate students within UACES and to facilitate dialogue and the exchange of information between students at different institutions.
One of the ways in which the UACES Student Forum facilitates this is through its mailing list, the Euroresearch List. This mailing list has more than 650 members and membership of the list is open to any student interested in European Studies.
The UACES Student Forum also arranges conferences and events, and manages a research database of its members. In addition, the UACES Student Forum launched its very own journal in May 2005 - the Journal of Contemporary European Research (JCER).
It is not a pre-requisite for students to be a member of UACES to take part in the Student Forum, but by joining UACES as as an associate member you receive extra benefits such as financial assistance to help with travel costs when travelling to or from a Student Forum event or a UACES event.
