Euroresearch mailing list

The aim of the Student Forum is to facilitate dialogue and the exchange of information between students at different institutions. One of the ways in which we do this is through the Euroresearch Mailing List.

This mailing list has more than 650 members and membership of the list is open to any student interested in European Studies.

How to join the Euroresearch Email List

Step 1: Membership of this list is open to any student!

You may join the Euroresearch email list by simply sending the following command to:

euroresearch-request@jiscmail.ac.uk

join euroresearch "firstname(s)" "lastname"

For example: join euroresearch Roberto Mancini

Step 2: You will be sent a separate message containing instructions for confirming your subscription, normally at the end of the week.

Step 3: Once you have joined, you can send messages by sending a normal email. Simply send your email, to reach over 600 euroresearch members on the email list, to the following address:

euroresearch@jiscmail.ac.uk

Suspend from the list (temporarily)

EVERYONE who is setting up an email automatic message saying they are away, is asked to SUSPEND themselves from the email list in case their email system produces multiple emails. Some systems do produce multiple emails and we must avoid this risk. Please therefore suspend yourself before setting up any automatic "out of office" email message. ANYONE who is going on holiday even without setting up an automatic email message is asked to consider the option of SUSPENDING themselves from the list anyway to avoid any potential problems.

If you want to suspend yourself from the email list while you are away, it is easy to do. Send the following message to jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk

set * nomail

This takes you off the list.

Resume membership of the list after temporary suspension

When you wish to rejoin the list you can do so by sending the following message to jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk: set * mail

You will then be automatically rejoined.

Leave the list permanently

If you wish to cease your membership of the list, send the following message to:

jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk

Leave euroresearch
